Crisis Support

Help is available! If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis there is comfort in knowing that you are not alone and that help is available. Individuals experiencing a mental health crisis can reach help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Southwest can provide support for individuals and families who are in crisis; people considering suicide; or those struggling with mental illness, substance use, or both.

Southwest Behavioral Health Center offers mental health crisis services to all age groups across the five-county area. We ensure that those experiencing a crisis have immediate access to mental health evaluations and support. Our crisis services are tailored to the specific needs and requirements of adults and children.

For adults and children, Southwest employs a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) that operates 24/7. Our team of therapists and companion workers respond to both mental health and substance use crises by phone or in person as needed. In addition, for children and adolescents, our team can provide Stabilization and Mobile Response (SMR).

Reach out for help. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline immediately at 800-273-8255. And contact the hotline if a loved one is showing signs of suicidal ideation, such as talking about hurting themselves, researching ways to die or threatening self-harm.
